What is Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens?
This magnificent Grade I listed garden has been the subject of the largest garden restoration in England and possibly Europe. It is centred around the magnificent Leonardslee House.
Enjoy peaceful walking and running through the ‘Finest Woodland Gardens in England’ which boasts impressive features, including an array of wildlife, planting, sculptures, a toy museum, garden shop and places to eat and drink.
We invite you to join us here at Heritage Trail Series and enjoy a Sunday morning run in a venue that normally isn't open to runners.

A trove of art + nature
Sculpture park
Leonardslee is a treasure trove of art and nature.
Explore beautiful sculptures by local talents from Surrey and Sussex, blended with Anton Smit's acclaimed works from South Africa at the exhibition of “Walk of Life”. These sculptures transform the woodlands, offering new views of the valley and seven lakes.
The running routes will take you past many of these amazing sculptures, hidden in among the planting and woodland - some more obvious than others!
The lakes & gardens
The gardens are famed for outstanding displays of Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Camellias, Magnolias, Bluebells and the beautiful ornamental rock garden.
There are 240-acres of Grade I Listed Gardens, parkland, lawns and forest areas, with an abundance of fascinating fauna as well as flora.
Our running routes will also take you past spectacular lakes on hard packed gravel paths - perfect for running.
