Parking

Warning: the road within Eridge Park is a newly laid gravel path and is very bumpy. Please ensure you drive at 10mph within the grounds. There is a grass path adjacent to the gravel path that can be used to pass oncoming cars. Do not exceed 10mph or brake hard when driving on the grass as it can be very slippy.
Please book a free pass on the website here to help give us an indication of how many cars to expect.
Start and Finish
The start and event village will be in a large field at the end of the main road / track into the venue from the entrance.
The finish will be in the same location.
Please note there will be toilets near the start.
You will be given a finisher medal upon crossing the finish line.
There will be vendors selling hot drinks and brunch style items and brioche breakfast buns in the Event Village.
Start Area
We will not be allocating start positions within a corral, so if you want to run for a good position please ensure you start near the front.
Collecting Your Number
Running numbers must be collected from the Info Tent at the start. THEY WILL NOT BE POSTED unless you paid for postage. Running numbers will be allocated according to surname. You can collect friends / family numbers.
If you paid for postage and have not received your number, please go to the Info Tent to collect a replacement.
PLEASE NOTE: These will be available to collect from 8am. Please try to arrive in good time to avoid large queues.
Spectator Passes
As an event we pay to use Eridge Park and ask that supporters purchase spectator passes to access this private venue for the morning.
Spectator passes can be purchased here and will be emailed to you. Please print and bring with you or have on your phone to show staff.
Spectators will be allowed to walk around Eridge Park but please be mindful it is very large park and we advise them to not stray from the running routes. Remember - no dogs are allowed at the event.
Info Tent
If you have any queries please head to our Info Tent in the Event Village.
Cup-less event / water
There won't be any cups available so please bring your own drinks bottle full up.
Drinking water will be available for all at the Start. There will also be bottled water after 6km which will be signed posted, and again at the Finish.
Toilets
There will be a block of toilets by the start / finish area.
Baggage
We will have a baggage area in the Event Village where you can leave your bags but the area will not be secure. If you have any valuables please leave them in your car or with a friend / family member. We will not be held responsible for any lost or misplaced items left in the baggage area.
Medical Support
If you feel unwell after your Half Marathon or 10km, please seek medical assistance from the First Aid team at the finish. If you become injured on the route or need to stop, please find the nearest marshal who will be able to support you.
The Route
Please find the route map for the event here. You can download the GPX to your phone or watch on that web page (it shows the 10k, which is two laps for the half marathon).
The Half Marathon route is over two laps, and the 10km is over one lap.
The route will be well marked out with signs on every turn and at regular intervals along the straight sections of the route. Marshals and event staff will be placed on key junctions.
Please be warned that the route is very hilly and in some places it may be quicker to walk. There are also some long or steep downhill sections which can be slippy.
Overall our advice is to enjoy your journey around the incredible Eridge Park and leave your PB for another day!
Timing
The event will be timed by Open Tracking. Please look for your results in the 48 hours after the event, but please bear with us as we are a small team who are actively involved in de-rigging the event.
Safety
Trained First Aiders will be in place at the start, finish and on the route. If you become injured on the route or stop and need assistance, please try and locate the nearest course marshal or volunteer. You can call or text the event emergency phone number - 07303 120741
Please note that as this is a trail event, some of the course will be uneven underfoot and potentially slippy if it has been wet in recent days. Please take care and wear trail running shoes.
- Please be considerate to the estate at all times. Please do not litter and take any drinks bottles or wrappers with you to a bin.
- Take care on uneven terrain – whether on grass, trails or paths. Please be mindful of other participants, wildlife and the grounds.
- Please ensure that you are fit enough to walk, jog, run the distance.
What Should I Wear?
The route can be muddy even at the height of summer so please expect wet feet. Our suggestion is to plan for muddy and slippy conditions even if the weather forecast for the day looks good.
95% of the route is off-road on grass, single track paths and through woodland and best suited to off-road trainers.
If it is raining while the event is taking place or there has been rain overnight / heavy rain during the week then the route will be slippy and muddy in places.
We would therefore recommend you wear trail running shoes to take part in Heritage Trail Series.
Headphones
We are very happy for you to run with headphones but please be aware that they impact our ability to communicate with you.
Canicross / running with dogs is strictly prohibited
NO dogs are allowed into the venue due to wildlife and herds of deer on the estate. We thank you for your cooperation.
